NVQ Level 2 - Diplomas
Enrolment Process
Prior to the assessment R&J will require proof of identification (Passport, Driving license etc.), contact information, any other relevant documentation to confirm the candidate meets the criteria.
Upon request and agreement with R&J this documentation can be provided on the first day of the assessment.

Initial Assessment
The initial assessment will be carried out at your place of work at a time that suits both the candidate and the employer.
This 1 to 1 session with the assessor, confirms the level of experience of the candidate. From which R&J will tailor the training schedule to suit, helping to increase the likelihood of success.

Observation
The observation involves a site visit where a qualified assessor will observe the candidate completing a number of specific tasks, gathering evidence of the candidates competence for their portfolio. This may include both photographic and video evidence.

Professional Discussion
The professional discussion involves a site visit from the assessor, where the candidate and the assessor sit down in a private room to discuss task specific duties while answering the questions set by the governing body. Revision material will be issued to the candidate prior to the discussion.

Witness Testimony
A witness testimony is a short discussion with the candidates site manager or supervisor who can confirm the candidates competence. This discussion will be recorded on a Dictaphone and shall take place during the site visits.

Work Product
This will be a booklet with questions in for you to complete. The booklet will be left with you on the first visit and collected for assessment on the second visit.

Completion
After all is complete and approved by an I.Q.A. the candidate will have achieved an N.V.Q. Level 2 diploma.
With a N.V.Q Level 2 Diploma the candidate can apply for their competence card to be upgraded to a Blue Card. As well as improving the employers staff portfolio it will also improve the candidates ability to obtain employment in the future.

NPORS - EWT
NPORS EWT (experienced worker tests) are designed for operators who have had previously trained or operated the specified machine.
Operators without the required competence will require formal training before applying for the E.W.T
Upon completion of the EWT you will receive a traditional NPORS Red Card (trained), which will be valid for 5 years. This certification is widely accepted within Industrial and commercial industries.
Each NPORS EWT consists of a theory test which is 25 questions and a practical test.
Candidates that are in possession of a valid CSCS card (completed within the last 2 years), can apply, via C.I.T.B, for the CSCS logo to be incorporated into their Red Card, with a validity period of 2 years. Candidates can upgraded their card to a Blue card (competent) by completing the relevant NVQ. See the NVQ section for more information.
NPORS EWT tests are available at the candidates requested location throughout the North East, North West and Yorkshire and Humber.
